Catbacker Tour Hits Beloit

The Solomon Valley & North Central Kansas Catbackers held their annual golf tournament and banquet at Beloit Country Club on Monday.  Many K-State fans and more from the area participated in the golf tournament and well over 100 people attended the dinner, program and auction on Monday night.

Also in attendance on Monday night were two Kansas State coach representatives as the featured speaker was Wildcat head football coach Bill Snyder.  K-State assistant men’s basketball coach Chester Frazier also spoke to the crowd.

Here at KD Country 94 & Z 96.3 Sports, we had the chance to catch up with Snyder & Frazier and talk about their programs and the Catbacker tour in general.  Bill Snyder told us his favorite part of visiting with K-State fans.

The most recent story for the K-State football program was the transfer of QB/WR Daniel Sams.  Sams was released from Kansas State on May 13, and last week he stated that he would go to McNeese State to continue his college career.  Snyder spoke about Sams’ departure.

On the men’s basketball front, Wildcat assistant Chester Frazier is excited about the upcoming season, and he offered some of his thoughts on the group that K-State will have in the upcoming season.

Beloit is just one of 35 stops on the Catbacker tour.  Most of the events will take place this month, with the final stop being in Junction City on August 23.
