Beatrice Community Hospital last week announced a planned $7.2 million expansion that will begin this spring. The project will include an attached 17,500 square foot building to be added to the north of the three year old facility, allowing relocation of the Women’s and Children’s Clinic and Infusion Center from its current second floor location to the first story. The Health Information Management Office will be moved, and the second floor Physicians’ Clinic renovated. Changes to more outpatient services make the changes necessary. The building project is projected to be complete in fifteen months, and will be funded from the hospitals operating budget.
