Storm Damage Reported In Washington County

Washington County residents are cleaning up and officials are assessing damage Thursday morning after storms crossed much of the county Wednesday night.

Four tornado warnings were issued in a span from 8:28 until 10:39 p.m.

Spotters confirmed sighting five tornadoes in the county. Tornadoes were seen near Clifton, north west of Linn and southwest and northwest of the city of Washington.

No injuries were reported.

Rainfall totals ranged from 1 inch at Haddam with a little hail, to .60 in the City of Washington.

Damage includes one roof blown off a home northwest of Washington, along with damage to multiple trees, outbuildings, sheds and bins on some farmsteads in different parts of the county.

Utility crews were restoring power to customers who remained without service yet Thursday morning.
