KDOT Announces Closed Highways Due To Flood Waters

Flooded Road Closures for Northeast Kansas As of Friday, June 5, 2015, 6:30 a.m.

  • NEW! K-5 over Seven-Mile Creek in Leavenworth County is NOW CLOSED due to high #flood waters over the roadway.
  • NEW! K-9 in Marshall County over the Black Vermillion River (between mile markers 248-250) is NOW CLOSED due to high #flood waters over the roadway.
  • NEW! K-87 from the K-9 junction south to the Village of Vilets in Marshall County is NOW CLOSED due to high #flood waters over the roadway.
  • NEW! K-18 over Deep Creek in Riley County is NOW CLOSED due to high #flood waters over the roadway.
  • K-116 east of Larkinburg at the Atchison/Jackson County line is STILL CLOSED due to high #flood waters over the roadway.
  • K-187 north of Centralia in Nemaha County is STILL CLOSED due to high #flood waters over the roadway.
  • NOW OPEN! K-192 over Stranger Creek in Leavenworth County is NOW OPEN to all traffic. High #flood waters over the roadway have receded and the roadway has been returned to normal traffic operations.

Drivers must use alternate routes until further notice. We will let you know when the roadways are fully reopened to all traffic.
