Gas Prices Continue To Drop

For the third week now, and for 18 out of the past 19 days, the average price for regular unleaded gasoline in Kansas has declined. Last week, the Kansas average dropped nearly eight cents, and over the past month the average has fallen over 15 cents.

The current Kansas average of $2.45/pg is about 86 cents lower than a year ago when gas was $3.31/pg, meaning Kansans are now paying 26 percent less for gas today than a year ago at this time.

Just like last week, the Kansas average is nearly 15 cents below the national average as of today which is $2.59/pg. Kansas ranks among the lowest state averages has improved from 17th to 16th today.
