Body Of Missing Belleville Man Found

The body of a missing Belleville man was found over the weekend after a search that lasted about two weeks. Robert Munson Jr. was discovered dead on Saturday.

Authorities are not yet releasing any information as to where he was found nor a cause of death due to an ongoing investigation. Munson was reported missing by his girlfriend on Sunday, August 2nd. Munson’s vehicle was found later that day about 2 miles west of Clyde along the Republican River near Hwy. 9.

Republic County sources tell KD Country 94 that authorities are seeking Munson’s girlfriend and her brother for questioning, but no one has had contact with either of them since the woman first reported Munson missing two weeks ago. The woman and her brother have apparently left the area.
