FM 95.5 KNDY Launches New On-Air Lineup Monday

FM 95.5 KNDY is excited to announce a new on-air lineup starting on Monday, August 21st

Starting your day off early will be Tad Svendsen, who takes the air at 5 a.m. up until KNDY News at 7 a.m., then joins you again following the news until 9 a.m. Tad most recently hosted afternoons on FM 95.5 KNDY.

Following Tad will be Colleen Addair, who takes the midday shift from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Colleen started in radio when she was 16 years old in West Virginia.

Holding down late afternoons will be Jessie Addy, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Jessie comes to us from Dallas, where his dad worked in radio.

The evening shift brings the return of an old favorite to FM 95.5 KNDY, as Penny Mitchell returns to host the 7 p.m. to midnight shift. Penny was a long-time host on KNDY.

The overnight shift will now be hosted by Tug Cowart from midnight to 5 a.m. He grew up in Dalton, Georgia and served in the Navy as an Operations Specialist aboard the USS South Carolina.

Derek Nester was born and raised in Blue Rapids, and graduated from Valley Heights High School in May of 2000. He attended Cowley College in Arkansas City and Johnson County Community College in Overland Park studying Journalism & Media Communication. After stops at KFRM and KCLY radio in Clay Center, he joined KNDY in 2002 as a board operator and play by play announcer. Derek is now responsible for the digital content of Dierking Communications, Inc. six radio stations. In 2005 Derek joined the staff of KCFX radio in Kansas City as a production coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs Radio Network, which airs on over 70 radio stations across 12 Midwest states and growing.
