Phillips County Jail Escapee Captured

Norton Police and Norton County Emergency Management notified Sunflower State Radio News late this afternoon that Trent L. Ludwig, age 18, who escaped from the Phillips County Jail Thursday, was located and back in custody. They also thanked the public for their help.

On Thursday July 7th, 2016 Trent L. Ludwig, age 18, escaped from the Phillips County Jail in Phillipsburg. Ludwig was jailed on Phillips county charges at the time of his escape. He was previously arrested by Norton Police on June 27th, 2016 for misdemeanor crimes and has associates in Norton.
Norton Police were provided with credible information that Ludwig was transported to Norton following his escape from custody. At the present time all credible leads have been exhausted and we are asking for the public’s help in locating this escapee.

If you see this individual, please call 911 immediately to contact the Norton Police Department or Norton County Sheriff’s Office, do not approach the subject or attempt to apprehend him.
