Southeast Community College Board Approves Bond Resolution

Southeast Community College Board of Governors last week approved a resolution for a $369 million bond election, to be decided in November.

Residents of the 15 county SCC service area will determine if or not to advance a major ten-year reconstruction program, including significant upgrades at the Beatrice campus. All buildings would eventually be replaced, with additional features, and buildings for new programs added.

An estimated tax levy of 3.9 cents per $100 assessed valuation would amount to approximately $30 annually in additional taxes on a $100,000 property.
